Heat, Health, and Equity: Federal Tools & Resources (webinar)
July 10, 2024 at 11:00-12:30pm ET
Extreme heat is having a profound effect on the health and wellbeing of individuals and local communities in HHS Region 2 (New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and 8 federally-recognized Tribes). This webinar will highlight new tools and available resources, as well as explore promising practices, that can be used to plan and prepare for the current heat season in ways that advance equity and protect those most vulnerable.
The intended audience includes public health, social service, and health care organizations, as well as federal, state, and local agencies working to address the impacts of extreme weather events on communities. We hope you will join us for this important session. We’re looking forward to a dynamic discussion!
